Hayley orrantia was born and raised in the US. Her main focus is actor, however she is also a singer and songwriter. She is best known as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy show "The Goldbergs". While she is a performer, her primary passion is music. Music, according her, is the first thing she enjoys. She started playing with it at age nine. When she was 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough to warrant formal training. In 2013, she picked up songwriting and recorded her first album. The rest is history. Orrantia, born in America, but has Hispanic roots. Although she was raised speaking exclusively English and was never in Mexico she's very satisfied with her Hispanic roots. In order to maintain the tradition, she's studied Spanish and composed songs that are in Spanish. One of her attempts was the creation of a Spanish track titled "Hasta Verte..' In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the premiere episode of The X Factor. Her YouTube video was picked and she was awarded four "yeses" (or votes), from the judges at the Seattle audition. The first time she auditioned, she was in the show "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. However, three female singers along with her were grouped together to perform other songs. The group was removed from the program during the fifth live week.
