Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles were two appearances in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mom. Her parents, however, were not keen to let her pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry she was timid to perform in the school, began to perform in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Following her graduation, Perry moved into New York to search for television work landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led the actress back to California which is where she discovered theater jobs. She performed on Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Perry was in the show with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She got the part in an audition that was open despite having a connection to the persona.
